Manual Therapy

Effective relief for tight joints, sore muscles, and stiff movement.

Movement starts with freedom

We use targeted manual therapy to address joint stiffness, soft tissue restriction, and movement dysfunction. Techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue release, and trigger point therapy are applied with purpose to ease pain, restore mobility, and improve the way your body moves. For athletes, this means reducing compensatory loading and optimising performance under pressure. For everyday clients, it means moving more comfortably, with less tension and greater freedom. Every session is hands on, precise, and integrated into your overall treatment plan so the benefits last well beyond the table.

Techniques that work with your body

Manual therapy isn’t about forcing change. It’s a precise, responsive approach that works with your body to ease tension and improve alignment. Whether it’s a stiff joint, tight muscle, or postural imbalance, we tailor treatment to your needs and comfort.

Experienced hands, measurable results

Our physiotherapists are trained in a range of manual therapy techniques and know how to apply them with purpose. Giving your body exactly what it needs. You’ll feel the difference in how you move, and how you feel.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a traditional technique that involves gentle scraping of the skin using a smooth-edged tool to stimulate circulation and encourage the body’s natural healing response. We use it to relieve muscular tension, reduce inflammation, and support lymphatic drainage. It can help alleviate chronic pain, stiffness, and fatigue, leaving clients feeling more mobile, relaxed, and energised.

Cupping

Cupping uses specially designed suction cups placed on the skin to lift and decompress soft tissue. Cupping increases blood flow, reduces muscle tension, and can help relieve soreness, stiffness, and stress. Often used alongside other treatments, cupping is a powerful tool for promoting recovery, improving movement, and releasing deep-seated tension in the body.

If you’re feeling stiff, restricted, or sore in a particular area, manual therapy can often help. Your physio will assess whether it’s the right approach for you.
Maybe but not always. Manual therapy can work best when supported by the right exercises to maintain and build strength or range of motion and improve the results from your session.
Absolutely, if you find this is what works best for you. Go ahead and request manual therapy, needling, guasha, cupping etc.. There are no additional charges for particular treatment types.
