Tristan Chai

Physiotherapist

Tristan is a caring and creative physiotherapist whose dedication shapes both his hands-on care and leadership role at Good Physio, the clinic he founded in 2015. His vision was clear: to create a welcoming, calming space where clients feel at ease coming in for treatment and where physios enjoy working together in a supportive environment.

He has a special interest in sports and fitness injuries, particularly basketball. Since 2017, he’s held the role of Head Physiotherapist for the Adelaide 36ers. He also serves on the SA Sports and Exercise Physio committee, leads ongoing professional development for physios, and has completed his Titling through the Australian College of Physiotherapists.

A graduate of UniSA (B. Physio) in 2005, Tristan has worked in private practice ever since, building years of experience helping people from all walks of life across the Glenelg community.

He’s one of the few physiotherapists in Australia with a Masters of Acupuncture, making him a recognised leader in the use of dry needling. His background combines Traditional Chinese Acupuncture with contemporary dry needling techniques, and he now teaches these methods to other physios as a lead educator.

Outside the clinic, you’ll often spot Tristan running (slowly, he says) along the esplanade or cheering courtside as a proud Dance Dad and basketball coach to his three daughters.
